The self-drilling screws are self-tapping screws with drill point for particularly economical direct screwing. They reduce costs, as neither drill holes nor mounting threads have to be created. Also the punch marking is not necessary. Assembly is carried out in a single operation, saving time. The components are joined precisely fitting without any hole offset or tolerance problems. Additional safety elements are not required. The thread geometry forms a ST thread (self tapping thread) in the components. It acts as a forming tool when screwed in and distorts the material without chip formation
